The Senior Choir sings Evensong with music by Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds and a world premiere of Responses by Kevin Jones, written in the style of Ešenvalds. Kevin Jones conducts, Rees Taylor Roberts is the organist, and the anthem is accompanied by tuned water glasses. Polyphony was formed by Stephen Layton in 1986 for a concert in King’s College Chapel, Cambridge. Since then, the choir has recorded regularly and performed worldwide to great critical acclaim.
Recent reviews declare Polyphony as “one of the best small choirs now before the public” (Telegraph) and “possibly the best small professional chorus in the world” (Encore Magazine, USA).
We will play a fast-paced board game to gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities we each have in creating a sense of welcome and connection at St. Paul’s.
