Through our many outreach channels, we are called to express God’s love beyond our church walls. Individually and together, we reach out through service in Greater Cleveland and worldwide.

St. Paul’s Outreach Committee recently presented to the parish an overview of its various ministries:

Locally

St. Paul’s members are proud to be involved in several programs within and beyond our doors. In addition to individual committees’ commitments to children and families at St. Luke’s, Cleveland; the Women’s Domestic Violence Center; the Fairhill Center for Aging; and more, St. Paul’s has ongoing outreach and volunteer opportunities in these programs:

• Homeless Stand Down (Business Volunteers Unlimited)

Beyond Our Own Communities

St. Paul’s sends youth and young adults on Harlan (KY) Mission Trips each summer, where they build or repair homes and develop relationships with the people of Appalachia. Learn more about our Harlan Mission Trip here.

Our Partnerships

Open Doors Academy is a developmental out-of-school enrichment program founded in 1992 by the parishioners and leadership of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. It began as a program that served as a safe place for latchkey kids and eventually grew into an after-school program. In 2002, Open Doors incorporated into a 501(c)3 and created a separate entity so that they could obtain outside funding. Today, Open Doors continues to provide programming to youth at nine other locations in the Heights, Euclid, and Cleveland school districts.

Beginning in the summer of 2018, Open Doors and St. Paul’s Reading Camp Cleveland organizers partnered to provide three weeks of reading-enrichment camps to area rising third and fourth graders during the summer break.
