The Rev. Jeanne Leinbach

Jeanne was the 16th and first female Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church from 2015-2024. She led the parish through the pandemic as well as a successful capital campaign in 2022-23 that raised $8.3 million to support infrastructure needs, improvements to the nave system, restoration of the Holtkamp organ, additional funds for outreach efforts, and substantial additions to the St. Paul’s endowment.

Previously, she served as Associate Rector at Christ Episcopal Church in Winnetka, IL. She was ordained to the Priesthood in December, 2007. Prior to being ordained, Jeanne was a management consultant for the financial services industry. She holds an MDiv from Seabury Theological Seminary, an MBA from Cornell University and a BA from Mount Holyoke College.

Jeanne tries to live by these words by Frederick Buechner:

“Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery it is. In the boredom and pain of it, no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it, because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace.”
