The Rev. Gabriel Lawrence served St. Paul’s as an Assistant Rector, priest for Liturgy and Liaison to Children and Youth Ministries, from 2024-2026.

Originally from Nashville, Gabriel spent 15 years in the Diocese of Georgia before being called to St. Paul’s. He holds an M.Div. from the University of the South, Sewanee, and a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from Georgia Southern University. Before his ordination to the Diaconate in October 2023, he worked as a parish music director, piano instructor, florist, composer, community organizer, and event planner. In addition to his call to ordained ministry, he enjoys running, cooking, hiking, and spending time with his Cavalier King Charles spaniel, with whom he shares a name.
