Cleveland Municipal Court Candidate Forum

Elections have consequences- let’s use our influence for justice! “Off-year” elections (like the one on Tuesday, November 4) don’t get as much attention, but their outcomes have a huge impact on our local community. Greater Cleveland Congregations (GCC) is hosting a forum to meet the candidates for Cleveland Municipal Court and push for changes to this powerful institution.

GCC’s goal is to establish an effective centralized booking system which can more quickly process persons arrested for criminal offenses, bring them before a judge, and release them to await trial or establish a reasonable bond.

At least five candidates for judge will be present to share how they see this issue, goals for their candidacy, and what can be done to ensure justice for all. The Action will take place at Antioch Baptist Church with carpooling from St. Paul’s. Sign up to attend in the foyer between services!
