Coventry Camerata, St. Paul’s ensemble-in-residence, returns this year for two concerts of 20th-century masterworks. This first concert features Francis Poulenc’s unaccompanied Mass in G Major, Litanies à la Vierge Noire, and several unaccompanied motets. Igor Stravinsky is represented by his rarely performed Mass for chorus and double wind quintet. It is a work of stark beauty, delicately weaving together the tapestry of the mass texts.
