Dear Parish Family,

Archbishop Naoum of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem has called for a day of fasting and prayer for peace in the Holy Land tomorrow, Tuesday, October 17, writing:

“Once again we find ourselves living through hard times in the Land of the Holy One… Nevertheless, from Jerusalem, the City of the Resurrection, I send you all hope for the assurance of a better life: one with a brighter future, more blessed circumstances, and freedom from bloodshed, injustice, and death.”

In support of our siblings in the Middle East, the Bishop’s Staff for the Diocese of Ohio will offer a brief online service on Zoom tomorrow, October 17, at noon.

At St. Paul’s, we will continue to pray for peace in the Holy Land, and all places of conflict, during our Sunday worship services. Beginning this week, at our weekly Wednesday 6 p.m. service of Holy Eucharist in St. Martin’s chapel, we will also pray a Litany for Peace. In ways we cannot fully understand, prayer unites our hearts one with one another. Prayer heals and keeps hope alive. Please join us in worship.
