Jonathan Bolena began his formal musical training in the rich Anglican Choral Tradition of Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue as a boy chorister. He returned to St. Thomas as Organ Scholar during the 2024/25 academic year after graduating from Woodberry Forest School.

During high school, Jonathan held multiple church positions including Interim Director of Music at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Ivy, VA. He recently earned Fellowship of the Royal College of Organists (FRCO) after completing his first year of study at Oberlin Conservatory with Jonathan Moyer and Mark Edwards. His former teachers include Jeremy Filsell and Nicolas Haigh.
