How will you celebrate the Fourth of July this year? I hope you’ll have time with family and friends, maybe grill out, watch some fireworks and/or light a few sparklers. I also hope you’ll pray for the United States of America.
Since the Search Committee received the list of candidates from the Diocese, the Committee has been in discernment, reviewing written materials, watching and listening to sermons online, and interviewing candidates, all the time keeping the Vestry’s charge in mind: “finding a candidate who is an excellent match with St. Paul’s visions and goals.”
We hope that our stewardship pledges this fall will not just be about our wallets. We hope our pledges also will represent how much we value BELONGING to each other, as we celebrate the faithful guidance of the Holy Spirit, our love for Jesus, and the power of God’s daily companionship in our lives.
Last Friday, the Cleveland Department of Public Health issued a warning after detecting a spike in COVID-19 levels in untreated wastewater samples collected from the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. Wisdom about how to proceed and love for our neighbors (especially the most vulnerable) are potent tools for us to keep everyone in our community healthy!
